Reporting
Submitting reports is an important way for you to help protect both yourself and the community. We appreciate your efforts in making Redpanda a safer and better space for everyone.
How can I report a post or comment?
If you come across a post or comment that you believe may violate the Redpanda Rules or the rules of a specific community, reporting it is the best way to alert us.
- To report a post or comment, click the overflow menu and choose Report.
How can I report a user?
If you believe a user is violating the Redpanda Rules, you can report specific content they’ve posted, such as posts, comments, or their profile details like their username and bio.
When reporting content, we will review the post, the user who submitted it, the community it belongs to, and any interactions related to it. If you report a user’s profile, the review will include the reported content along with any context you provide.
- To report a profile, go to the user’s page, click the overflow menu and choose Report.
How can I report a community?
If you think a community is violating the Redpanda Rules, it’s best to report posts from that community that clearly illustrate the issue. When you report content, the community, the user who submitted it, and other relevant details will be included in the review.
- To report a community, click the overflow menu and choose Report.
How do I report a note?
Notes are not considered Redpanda’s viewpoint, and they can’t be modified or edited by our team. A post containing a note won’t be labeled or addressed by Redpanda unless the note itself violates our Rules, Terms of Service, or Privacy Policy. Violating the rules may lead to a ban.
- If you believe a note doesn’t comply with our rules, you can report it by selecting the overflow menu on the note and then choosing Report.
